Michelle and John’s Pre Wedding Shoot in London

Couple enjoying pre wedding shoot in Covent garden (Night time).

After Cambridge, part two of Michelle and John’s pre wedding shoot was in central London. This is where the couple actually met, so it holds fond memories for them. We decided to start in the evening to allow plenty of natural light photography before capturing some of London’s night lights later.

After leaving the Langham Hotel in Portland Place, we started in the sunshine in Hyde Park before visiting St Paul’s Cathedral and Leadenhall Market in the City.  As the light started to fall we photographed the couple by Tower Bridge, Covent Garden and Albert Embankment.

Wedding Photography at Sunningdale Park

We had a lovely day shooting Sarah and Rik’s wedding at a very sunny Sunningdale Park. This venue is centred on Northcote House, which is a listed Grade II neo-Georgian mansion set in some extensive and beautiful garden and grounds.

The venue’s website describes itself as an elegant combination of classic and contemporary – and it is hard to disagree from a  wedding photography perspective.  It was great to see the couple enjoy such a wonderful day – and we are looking forward to showing them the full image gallery.

Pre Wedding Shoot in Cambridge

Last month we had the pleasure of visiting Cambridge for a photo shoot. Michelle and John are due to get married in Hong Kong later in the year – but first wanted a couple of pre wedding shoots in the UK (having lived here for a number of years).

Part one was in Cambridge because it holds fond memories; particularly for John who was formerly a post graduate student in the famous university town. Although Cambridge always understandably attracts many tourists (which is challenging for photography), it was lovely to be able to walk about the beautiful town freely, without the need for public transport (punting notwithstanding!).  Part two of the shoot  - in London – coming soon.

Wedding at the Grand Hotel in Brighton

The refuse strike was over (just) when we arrived at Brighton for Anjuli and John’s wedding; but we were greeted with howling coastal gales. In fact the wind was so strong that we only managed the groomsmen shots outside.

Luckily Brighton’s Grand Hotel offers some interesting backdrops for wedding photography (notably the imposing staircase) and some subtle lighting. It’s always challenging when there is another wedding taking place in the same hotel, but we were very pleased with the results.
