Wedding Photography at Barnett Hill – Andrea and Rob

There are so many excellent wedding venues in Surrey and Sussex, and this season we have discovered a few new ones.  Earlier this month we had the pleasure of photographing Andrea and Rob’s wedding at Barnett Hill (the church ceremony was at All Saints in Witley).

Barnett Hill is just outside of Guildford and sits in some lovely landscaped gardens overlooking the Surrey Hills. Built in 1905  as a private house, it later became a convalescent hospital during the war. Barnett Hill seems a great venue for wedding photography -and we are looking forward to returning there again in October.

Leah and Oli at Stoke Park

Earlier in August we had the pleasure of photographing Leah and Oli’s wedding at St Mary’s Church (Denham) and Stoke Park.  We are recommended photographers at Stoke Park; and it always pleasing to return to such a beautiful, relaxed and well-run venue.

There was a decent wind – which we really noticed when taking photos by the bridge – but it was an otherwise glorious sunny day.

Hartsfield Manor – Miranda and Keith

We were back at our local venue in the Surrey countryside last week.  For small to medium weddings, it is hard to beat Hartsfield Manor for relaxed intimacy. And from a wedding photography perspective, it has great variation both outside and within the walls.

As with a great many weddings this season, it was a case of running outside to take advantage of the periods between showers. But that’s part of the fun!

Wedding Photography at Ashdown Park Hotel – Sadie and Roger

We photographed our first wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel last week. The Grade II listed mansion house is surrounded by Ashdown Forest in East Sussex; and in combination with its landscaped gardens, it’s a venue that’s well set up for wedding photography.

Sadie and Roger’s day was actually geared around the Richard Towneley Suite  - which is a converted chapel with a vaulted hammer beam ceiling and beautifully stained glass windows. A lovely setting for the wedding breakfast and dancing.
